Sinn Studio Fan Content Policy

At Sinn Studio, we’re constantly inspired by the creativity and passion you bring to the content you create. Your support and engagement in our community truly means the world to our team.

This Fan Content Policy is designed to help clarify the guidelines around using Sinn Studio’s intellectual property (“IP”) to create Fan Content. We aim to protect our IP while encouraging the community’s engagement and creativity.

Permission for Fan Content

Sinn Studio grants fans the non-exclusive, revocable right to create Fan Content based on our games, provided such content adheres to the rules outlined below. This permission may be withdrawn by Sinn Studio at any time for any reason.

Rules for Creating and Sharing Fan Content

1. Non-commercial Use: You may create Fan Content for non-commercial use only.
   • Fan Content must be available for free, meaning the content isn’t sold, licensed, or otherwise monetized directly. However, you may monetize your Fan Content through platform-native functions like ads or viewer donations, provided the monetization does not include selling your Fan Content.
   • Making your Fan Content free also means that others, including Sinn Studio, may freely access, view, share and use your Fan Content without any strings attached (like approvals, licenses, credit, compensation, etc.)
2. Credit and Attribution: All Fan Content must clearly and conspicuously include the following notice:
   “This content is unofficial and is not endorsed or sponsored by Sinn Studio. All trademarks and copyrights related to Sinn Studio games are the property of Sinn Studio.”

3. Respect for Brand and Community:
   
   • Do not create any content that could be deemed offensive, harmful, or inappropriate or that misrepresents Sinn Studio or its products.
   • Fan Content should not suggest or imply endorsement or sponsorship by Sinn Studio.
4. Intellectual Property Rights:
   
   • Do not use the Game IP’s logos, trademarks, or other brand features without explicit permission except as necessary for crediting purposes as outlined above.
   • Fan Content must respect the intellectual property rights of others; do not include copyrighted material from third parties without permission.
5. Legal Responsibility:
   
   • By creating and sharing Fan Content related to Sinn Studio, you acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for ensuring your content complies with all applicable local, state, regional, and national laws. Sinn Studio will not be held liable for any legal violations or related fees incurred as a result of your Fan Content.
   • Sinn Studio is not responsible for any user-generated content (UGC) created by you. We reserve the right to request the removal or cessation of any Fan Content at our discretion, and you agree to comply with such requests within 7 days of notification.
   • Please understand that we want to avoid legal conflicts. If any legal claims, fees, or expenses arise from your Fan Content and result in any legal actions involving Sinn Studio, our partners, affiliates, or employees, you agree to cover all associated costs, including attorney’s fees, judgments, and settlements.

Prohibited Activities

• Impersonation: Do not impersonate Sinn Studio or claim official affiliation or endorsement.
• Offensive Content: Avoid creating content that could be seen as derogatory, defamatory, or damaging to Sinn Studio or any third party.
• Commercial Exploitation: Selling, licensing, or commercially exploiting Fan Content is strictly prohibited without a separate agreement with Sinn Studio.

Community Standards and Content Guidelines

• Respectful Use of Game IP: Do not use Sinn Studio’s intellectual property (IP) in a way that is offensive, racist, sexist, pornographic, homophobic obscene, ableist, grotesque, damaging, disparaging, or defamatory.
• No Promotion of Illegal Activities: Do not create or share Fan Content that promotes drug or alcohol use or any illegal activities.
• Content Safety for Minors: Fan Content must not include any material that could be harmful to minors.
• Privacy Respect: Do not collect, share, or publish others' personal information beyond their display names, and do not threaten to reveal others’ personal information.
• Protect Your Privacy: Avoid sharing your own sensitive or personal information in Fan Content.
• Play Fair: Do not cheat, grief, exploit bugs or glitches, or promote these behaviors. Always play fairly. If you encounter a bug, please report it in our Discord: https://discord.gg/BGVR.
• No Bullying or Harassment: Any predatory, threatening, intimidating, lewd, demeaning, derogatory, abusive behavior, or invasion of privacy is strictly against our Terms of Service.
• Avoid Impersonation: Do not impersonate other players, streamers, celebrities, government officials, or Sinn Studio employees.
• No Scams or Deceptive Practices: Do not take advantage of other players by promoting scams, attempting to get them banned, using deceptive practices, or hacking.‍
• Appropriate Content Only: Avoid sharing any inappropriate or offensive content within your Fan Content.

• This policy is subject to change without notice. Please refer back to this document regularly to stay updated with our terms.
• Your creation and distribution of Fan Content are considered acceptance of this policy.
